Christian Arming to Serve as Principal Guest Conductor of NOSPR

SAI conductor Christian Arming has led a number of successful seasons as the Music Director of the Hiroshima Symphony Orchestra. Now, starting September 2026, he will also take on the role of Principal Guest Conductor at the Narodowej Orkiestry Symfonicznej Polskiego Radia (NOSPR), or Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra!

Excited to split time between Japan and Poland, Maestro Arming writes:

Since 2006 I have had a special connection with the National Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra (NOSPR). Therefore it is a great joy and a tremendous honor for me to assume the position of Principal Guest Conductor of NOSPR starting in September 2026.

I truly love making music with NOSPR and we are going to work together on exciting programmes in the coming seasons. This fantastic orchestra, which has a strong artistic identity supported by an extraordinary concert hall at it’s home in Katowice, feels already like a family to me, and I greatly value our collaboration.

Thank you all for the trust you place in me. I am very much looking forward to our upcoming musical encounters and invite you to attend our concerts.
