Mak Grgić is Classical Guitar's Odysseus
Guitarist Mak Grgić is hot off the trails of a massive release: A Six String Odyssey. Alongside incredible instrumentalists Russ Hewitt, Giovanni Piacentini, Gretchen Menn, Tess Rémy-Schumacher, and Vivian Fang Liu, SAI's favorite guitarist recorded compositions and arrangements by famed producer Kitt Wakeley.
These six core musicians—the "Six String Symphony"—joined the London Symphony Orchestra, the Sterling Ensemble Choir, and a hefty team of experienced musicians and engineers to capture century-old music through contemporary eyes and ears.

In early 2027, Grgić will debut Austin Wintory's Interactive Concerto for Guitar, a piece co-commissioned by ROCO. Continuing Wintory and Grgić's musical relationship, Grgić will perform this piece's world premiere with the Lancaster Symphony in January before debuting it with ROCO in February.
